Michael Kors Fall 2012 Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week
Fall 2012 Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week NEW YORK CITY!
BAM! Enter Michael Kors (working the Jacket and Jeans look) and fill up the runway with America goes on a sexy camping trip, before hitting the red carpet. I chuckled as a friend described the collection to an associate as: “think broken-down-tall meets an ever green tree”…#Bazinga.
FRONT ROW:
Front row: Anna Wintour (of course), Paula Patton, Jessica Alba (looking GERAT!), Debra Messing, Cash Warren, Anjelica Huston, Amber Heard, Alexandra Richards, Patti Hansen, Brad Goreski.
Honestly though, I found the Kors fall 2012 collection enthusiastic and highly relevant. Not many designers can marry the outdoors and glamour, but he pulled it off. The transition between the more refined mountaineer looks and the return to a very 1930’s glamour silhouetteit seemed effortless. Not necessarily in relation to how they paired with one another, but rather the high energy and flow of the runway made it appear seamless.
DETAILS:
In a backstage interview, Kors revealed the inspiration of the collection was:”sporty American glamour,”. He went on to say:”I thought about the ’30s and those glamorous Hollywood couples – the Clark Gables and Carole Lombards,”.
