A Look at MICHAEL Michael Kors for Fall 2014
When I stepped into the Michael Kors showroom last Friday I realized why they are SO wildly successful… this sh*t is beautiful! No for real. The pieces in the Fall 2014 collection are made with super lux materials like fur and leather, the silhouettes are exactly on trend with the fashion world and of course there are still making pieces that support worthy charities like fighting world hunger.
I hnestly can’t tell you how impressed with the fur selection (both faux and real) from rabbit to long haired goat and some fox. It’s unlike a diffusion brand to use such expensive materials which is why I was so impressed. There was also this fun camo printed neoprene sweater that screamed chic. It would look so killer with the thick soled buckle up platform booties.
The pairings you could put together within the line were too many to count. Let me put it this way if you had the entire MICHAEL Michael Kors Fall 2014 collection as your own, you could leave the house to a different event every day for a year before someone noticed you were wearing the same pieces over and over again. And on the note of wearability, the line wasn’t out to lunch and could easily be worn to a family dinner or a fashion show. It depends on how receptive your audience is to a long haired vest in white (my favorite piece).
I also wanted to direct your attention to the silver high tops with thick soles. I am… OBSESSED! They need to be on every fashion girl from Brooklyn to Baltimore!
Not so fashion forward? Don’t worry, Michael has you covered. The long embellished cardigan and simple leathers will go a long way for the average shop-a-holic. Every one looks great in a clean cut leather or simple cotton shirt with a studded knit thrown over top.
What do you think of the new collection?
OH MY GOSH! I love, love, love the fur pieces! Gorgeous. I hate counting down the days until fall, but I’m obsessed .
Love the camo look
